Allegion PLC completed the sale of Qatar Metal Industries QMI to the HLD group today. QMI based in Dubai is a well established manufacturer of steel, wood and composite commercial doors. With this purchase HLD Group are returning to the international stage with a business that complements their industrial manufacturing holdings in the UK. The founder of QMI, Riad Welly, has agreed to work with us in the newly devolved business and we will be supporting him with HLD resources and personnel to help achieve his ambitious growth plans for the business in a strong middle eastern market”
